The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Metapan as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Metapan defeated 5th ranked Salvadorenos at home 84-72. Metapan dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Salvadorenos' 30. Metapan looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and Puerto Rican forward Xavier Zambrana (193-1991) chipped in 24 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals during the contest. Spanish guard Lazaro Gonzalez (190-1993) responded with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Metapan have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with A.Lobos. Salvadorenos at the other side keep the fifth place with six games lost.
The game in Izalco was also worth to mention about. Second ranked A.Lobos (11-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Brujos (5-8). A.Lobos defeated Brujos 83-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Brujos. American center Marc Montavious (206-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 21 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the effort and Jerome Savoy supported him with 17 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 29 points and 13 rebounds by American guard Marcus Millien (188-2000, college: Carlow) did not help to save the game for Brujos. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. A.Lobos have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Metapan. Brujos at the other side keep the seventh place with eight games lost.
The game in Santa Ana was also quite interesting. Third ranked San Salvador (11-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Santa Ana (3-9). San Salvador defeated Santa Ana 87-76 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Brayan Garcia who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. Timothy Simmons produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. San Salvador maintains third position with 11-3 record having just one point less than leader Metapan. Santa Ana lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with nine games lost.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 14: bottom-ranked Ahuachapan was destroyed by Salvadorenos on the opponent's court 104-74. Santa Tecla was outscored by Metapan in a home game 69-100. Santa Ana recorded a loss to Cojute on the road 88-82.

Very expected game in San Salvador where 10th ranked Ahuachapan (1-12) was crushed by fifth ranked Salvadorenos (7-6) 104-74 on Friday. Salvadorenos dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Ahuachapan's 40. They outrebounded Ahuachapan 56-40 including a 40-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Salvadorenos looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Ahuachapan's players. The best player for the winners was naturalized Mali power forward Ibrahima Traore (206-2005) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Marcos Menjivar (190-2004) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Salvadorenos players scored in double figures.
